The Global Lift Collective’s collaborative approach is already making a profound difference across Malawi and Central America. Local churches, empowered with training and resources, are leading the way—meeting tangible needs, restoring dignity, and helping people encounter Jesus.
In Kaphala Village, Pastor Banda and his church didn’t just address one issue—they tackled poverty from every angle. With support from GLC, they increased crop yields, built bridges (literally), and launched savings groups. One member said, “The church has never been stronger, and more people are finding Jesus than ever before. It’s all thanks to the church’s leadership and impact in the community.”
Meanwhile, in Chitipa, seasonal rains destroyed the only bridge connecting families to schools, markets, and jobs. But through the savings groups and training provided by HOPE International and World Relief, the church stepped in to lead. They rallied the community, secured support from local government, and rebuilt the bridge—restoring access and hope.
GLC isn’t slowing down. By 2030, the goal is bold: mobilize 10,000 churches—8,000 in Malawi and 2,000 in Central America—to lead transformation in their communities.
This vision is about more than infrastructure or economic improvement. It’s about seeing people experience restored dignity, unleashed potential, and a renewed sense of purpose—led by the local church.
Imagine a world where the church is seen as the most trusted, transformative force in every community.
We believe the solution to poverty is bigger than any one organization or church—but together, we can be part of something extraordinary.
What role could your church play in this movement? Could your congregation join in helping to abolish extreme poverty and awaken the God-given potential of every person?
The movement is gaining momentum. We’d love to connect and explore how your church can get involved in this vision for global transformation.
Let’s do this together.
